Woe is Me

Have you ever had a woe is me moment? I have had a woe is me week or two. You know the kind I'm talking about..When the alarm clock goes off you turn it off and roll over, You don't want to go to bed because you will have to start another day all over again, You hate your job, You hate your boss, You hate You, You think whats the use, You don't feel like reading your bible, You don't feel like going to church, No one understands, Life is all uphill...And I can go on and on. Just to be quite honest..I just want to quit on GOD. How tragic. When life becomes harder than normal, we just want to throw our hands up and quit. When things just don't go exactly how we would want, we get out of shape. I am sure glad GOD doesn't have my attitude. I am sure glad GOD'S ways are not my ways. I am glad GOD is GOD! In Exodus Chapter 32 speaks to us of how impatient the children of Israel was. It was time for the children of Israel to have a Woe is Me moment. Moses was upon Mount Sinai communing with GOD, and the children of Israel saw that Moses delayed his coming down out of the mount (verse 1). Sounds like me there. GOD doesn't operate on my timeline. In verses 2-8 speaks of how the children of Israel, even after GOD delivered them from the hand of the Egyptians, through wonders and miracles, they for a moment, turned away from GOD and made of gold, a molten calf, and worshipped it. Sounds a bit strange huh? Sounds a bit hard to believe huh? Well, I have turned my back on this same GOD, the last few days. I looked somewhere other than up to GOD. I didn't worship a golden molten calf, but, I didn't look up to my Almighty GOD and decided I would have a Woe is Me moment. I am quite sure that GOD wasn't pleased with my actions, as HE is often not pleased with my actions, behaviors, attitudes, and I am sure that GOD spoke of me as did he is verse 9 ( it is a stiff necked people ). Verses 10 tells how GOD'S wrath waxed hot against the children of Israel. Verses 11-14 speaks of the advocacy of Moses, which is the type of JESUS as HE is my advocate to GOD the FATHER. As Moses spoke on behalf of the children of Israel, JESUS speaks on my behalf. I am sure that JESUS stays busy on my behalf. But I promise you folks that there is Plenty of JESUS for you too!!
